I have a regulator here and I'm gonna keg a batch of beer this evening. I was reading online that you can set the regulator to 12 psi for two weeks or a higher psi like 30 for a shorter time.
I was looking at my regulator today and I do t see anything like those numbers on there.
One dial goes from 0 - 6 and the other goes from 0 - 250
If I'm missing something maybe someone in the know could help me out.
Cheers.

Chymist

Is there any label saying what units its measuring in? Should be written on the gauge face somewhere. Photo may help if you can post one.

Qs

Mine has the same units its in Bar, 14/15ish PSI is 1 bar.

Chymist

Yep your regulator is just reading it in bar instead of psi, the one with the wider range will tell you the bar of pressure in the cylinder and the one with the smaller range is the one you want to set to the pressure you want to carb at. Google is telling me that 2 bar is around about 29 psi.

I dont actually own a kegging system (yet) so someone with more knowledge on force carbing may be able to help you more with that but from what I have been reading online as well those pressures do seem to be the suggested ones.

That's great Qs and Chymist, that's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks.
