Great find Qs. Must source a few.

Yeah, that's the weak point in my setup too; the back of the taps. Any sort of slight excess pressure on the kegs and you're staring at a puddle in the morning.

When the first thing you can smell when you walk into your garage is beer, you know there's never a happy ending.

Here are some pics of my set up for your viewing pleasure. Its taken me a while to put it all together and I'm sure its not all finished. Its based on the electric brewery and I took inspiration from Dempsey for the mash tun and Ciderhead for the herms pot.




Its a three (four? the herms coil is in its own small pot) vessel herms set up

The HLT (far left) is a keggle with two 2500 watt elements.  It drains from the bottom through the hole of the spear.






The mash tun is also a keg with 50mm insulation board stuck to outside and then old tongue and groove boards as a finish.  It also drains from the hole of the spear.  The false bottom is the bottom of the keg with a ton of holes drilled in it. That was a fun project.








The boil kettle is a 70 litre stock pot with two 2000w elements.  The hood is a large stainless steel mixing bowl. The funnel taped to it is for catching condensation in the fan.










My home made counter flow chiller. Its a stainless steel coil, it was a real pain in the ass to get the pvc hose over it but it works really well.


My fermentation fridge is controlled by an stc 1000 and can hold two carboys and a shelf of bottles.  I was hoping those carboys would have more in them but I only got 33 litres from the batch instead of 40.  I'm still getting used to my system this was the third batch I've done on it, a homebrew company double ipa kit, well two of them.




And finally my keezer.  Its still unfinished but hopefully it will be good to go by the time the DIPA in the fermentation fridge is ready and it will be my fist kegged batch.

Working for me anyway. I love that brewery, so much more high tech than my pot and cooler but yet still basins, crates, funnels, etc

Excellent, hoping to do something similar to my mash tun when I get into moved back into my house again.  Do you have any other insulation hidden under the wood?

There is just the 50mm insulation cut into long strips and stuck to the keg with tec7.  I used expanding foam to fill the small gaps between the strips then cut off the excess and stuck the boards to the insulation with tec7.
Here's a couple of pics of the insulation, I don't have any with the boards off.

Loving these pictures, guys. Keep them coming. I've already identified at least 2 improvements to my own setup so far.

Being met by the afore-mentioned puddle in the garage this morning helped in the decision making  >:(

Hi everybody!

That's the only pics I have of my setup, I will have better ones next brew day.

There's one aluminum mash pot (50L) with false bottom and sparge, and one stainless steel HLT/boiler kettle (66L). I use one of the fermentation buckets as an auxiliary recipient for the sparge.

I only use one three-ring gas burner.

The liquid is pumped by a magnetic stainless steel pump.

I have two 32lt fermentation buckets (like the blue one in the first pic) and another 60lt bucket.

All the beer is bottle conditioned.

When I move to the island next year I think instead of bags I will carry my pots with all my clothes inside!
