Hello All,I've been a Home Brewer here in the UK for 45 years and currently use a version of the Canadian All Electric Brewery designed by Kal Wallner with a brew length of 40 litres.
I usually keg my beer in 30 litre kegs and bottle the rest of each brew.
I brew anything and everything just as the fancy takes me,currently it's stouts and porters that my mates seem to be keen on.
The reason for joining is that my wife's cousin who lives in Eire was asking me about home brewing whilst on a visit to the UK and I realised I knew absolutely nothing about home brewing in Ireland so I'm here to remedy that omission!
Thank you for letting me join.

Hi John, Welcome to the friendliest HB group in the world.

Where abouts are you from? as a few of us here are either ex. UK or lived and worked there.

You will get lots of great info here and also members discounts (from a couple of online UK HB shops) if you join up as a full member.

Cheers

Hello Will,thanks for the welcome.
I live in the Midlands between Leicester and Loughborough in the village of Sileby.
I  intend to pass on all the info I can gather to my cousin-in-law as he expressed an interest in brewing at home.
He lives in Tipperary.

Hi JP and welcome,

Heres where the Tipp lads are...

Not sure how active but if he jumps on here and posts an intro that would be a good start.

Hi JP. Welcome to the forum.

We've a couple of UK-based groups here too, so you're not alone  ;D

Loughborough, you say? Do you know my cousin Brian who lives near there? He's got ginger hair and wears glasses, if that helps. Talks with a Brummie accent, I think. He might or might not like dogs; I don't know.

Cheers,

Welcome Jp

If you're cousin in law is in Tipp tell home to get to a Kilkenny Brewers meeting, he will get all the info and contacts he needs

Hi JP,

The South Centrallers are still muttering away to ourselves here in Tipp. If your cousin is interested, we'd be happy to help and encourage.
