Anyone in here have/use one of these?
I'm looking at the 14 gallon version.

I've got three plastic fermenters that are looking a bit funky these days. I reckon one of the SS buckets would last many years if it's looked after.
Would anyone recommend anything else for around the same €€€?

Cheers

I recently bought the 7 gal and am doing my first brew in it on Saturday. On first inspection it's a savage bit of kit. It's beautifully made. The plastic vessel had a stale beer smell I couldn't get rid off. Can't beat stainless steel either.

Cool, sounds like yous are happy with it. Think I'll take plunge so. I'm working on 35L batches at the moment so I'm gonna spring for the 14 gallon one.

Qs

I bought one and liked it so much I bought another. They really are great.

nigel_c

Everyone get them from the malt miller?

Qs

I did anyway. One of them was a floor model because I emailed them after they were out of stock.

ciaranjbyrne

Yes from malt miller. Think they might be out of stock now though.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on the 7 gallon one. The only thing I'm not so happy about is the valve and would rather replace with a 3 piece or butterfly valve and a quick disconnect. Anyone tried that?

Haven't done it and don't think it'd be difficult but I'm not sure you'd be able to use the little racking arm if you did it.

I've one of these and haven't used the racking ATM in about 30 brews. There's 2 small gaskets that are in the arm to provide a snug fit but they keep ripping as a result I no longer use it.
