QuoteJust checked a house that went for €26 million in the boom. Down to 350,001 - €400,000 now. Bummer.

LOL. well that wasn't getting any boomier from that point anyway. Down to 400k now......wow.

Interestingly, my house is a bungalow and semi-detached.

Put the info in, and zoomed in on where I live but I've no idea what colour it is compared to the ones in the grid on the left.

Not that it makes much difference to me, anything they've sent out so far with regard to the Household Tax has gone into my recycling bin.

They won't be getting a cent off me voluntarily to pay for debts of private businesses.

Problem is Weiss you wont be able to scratch your arse in 2 years time without paying it.
Revenue can do what they want and even write to your bank and put a lean on your account for the funds!

Youre probably right there Weiss but Ciderheads right, the revenue are like mounties, they always get their man. Best case, you avoid the tax until you die and they take it off your kids when they inherit your house

I have to have a Tax clearance cert or they stop me from working. Interesting note,it was Bertie Ahern and his FF that introduced this yet he carried on as minister for Finance with no Tax clearance cert. If ever we have a revolution,I swear that I personally will man the guillotine the day the FF are to be beheaded. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Ironic that you need a tax clearance cert, but yet you don't have to have sat a driving test!
Agree, only in this country can we do this. You could study the names of roads and where they are e.g. the coldcut road is in Ballfermot and having never ever visited here arrive at Dublin Airport go straight to the test centre and pass the exam. The obvious next test should be now drive me to the coldcut road. >:(

I'm fully aware of what may happen, but it needs people to stand up for themselves and make it nigh on impossible for them to take this money off us to give to foreign banks and criminals.

It's actually the current account that's the problem now, i.e. income vs expenditure. If the banks had never happened we'd still be in a huge hole.

Far from it The private gambling debts are the main problem as any attempt to reorganise the state cannot be done with any moral authority while taxpayers are being financially raped.
