Well the NCBers have grabbed the American Barley Wine recipe. Ingredients dished out yesterday, brewing is about to start.

I would love to see: Fruit Lambic, Geuze, Imperial IPA to name but 3

Its actually something we've been thinking about. But Im no good under Pressure

Go for it! Can't get better than 8-10 test batches. Make a slight modification for each participant to get a nicely complex blend.

We definitely have to give them something for taking up that much space for months. Something like a tenner each? I have their account details for transferring my membership every month, I could easily transfer money on behalf of the barrel participants.

Also we really should be giving them a few quid every brew day, we haven't done this the last two months.

Took a good bit out of the barrel this morning. This is how things stand at the moment in terms of what is still in there:

02. CARA - 20L
03. Padraic - 20L
04. Cathal O D - 20L
05. Rossa - 20L

07. Thomas - 20l
08. JoeyD - 20L

We all took around 17L each so Padraic and Joey will probably have a full 20L each. We can get the last two shares out at the next brewday and then fill it up with water until the new beer is done. I expect that we wouldn't be filling it until January.

I was speaking to Cathal and Emma yesterday and they have a recipe done up on beersmith for the new barrel. The club has grown quite a bit since we filled the barrel initially so there would be enough interest to bring the number of contributors to ten and fill it to the brim this time.  Whatever yeast is chosen I will do up a slant for each contributor as its probably going to be an unusual yeast that no one would have already.

There's a chance I might be down in Dublin next week so could pick up my portion, have an empty corny to swap. Where is it just?
