Skirts on Kegs

Just a note, that different keg have different size skirts which may impact the efficency of the heat transfer if working on gas. Guinness kegs are lower than bulmers kegs as i found out tonight after doing surgery on both for BK and HLTs. Oh Yeah rented a angle grinder for 13.50 including disc .

There are brackets on my burners that you bolt the head into. I just bent that upwards so the burner head sits at the same level as the surface the keg sits on.

Well Tubes, ive  also order a step drill bit which i might donate to the club when finished as i wont need it after that and if i do i will just borrow it back. Is there any other one off purchased which the club could buy and loan to members to easy the pain of upgrade equipment? or is that communism

I'm in favour of your form of communism! It would be great to have such equipment available to members, but I think that will work better at a local level when the clubs all grow a bit more!

You break it, you replace it.  Handing out tools should come with instructions on proper use.  You ignore them,  it's your pocket takes the hit.

Im by no means handy with diy, but look there's no need for all of us to buy all the same  one off equipment that goes along with hobbie if you choose to the ag route. i reckon building your own setup is  akin to building your own light saber no ones gonna do it for ya and your the only one who's gonna use it.

The hex is off some left over sink fitting that were in the shed. Now to get my head around efficiencies and good sites to explain? or is there a wiki

Nice job just make sure that all the burs are removed from the underside too, they're razer sharp
