QuoteAh yes, I remember well that famous interview with the German Ambassador to Ireland in which he scolded us for flaunting our cornies to a jealous outside world. And then there was that banner at the Euro 2012: "Angela Merkel thinks we have no wort". How times have changed.

:D ;D :D ;D :D ;D

@ John CH, is that the one from H&G? Have one? Used it? Recommend it?

Only got it recently and going to give it a go on a lager.
Its adjustable and fermeting under pressure is a whole art in its ownright. I will let you know how I get on probably in time for next years comp!

I will be cos I can't lengthen it again! I don't want to dedicate cornies to fermenting, I like the flexibility of being able to chop & change.

Our US colleagues just add a length of silicon tubing slipped over end to allow them revert back to their original length and function

I've been interested in the technique since Tube mentioned it after his trip to the Well last year.
I'm going to pick me up one as well.

I would be interested in seeing how this unit works out. Dr. Jocoby, you have me thinking that I am ahead of myself. The fridge unit I rebuilt for a failed kegerator I have used as a fermenting chamber. Not a good use of the space, until, I read here. It fits 4 corneys perfectly. Tube showed me his spunding valve but I was thinking of other issues but NOW, I may decide to use some of the many corneys I bought from those generous Germans.
I always say when a bargain in equipment comes up,always buy it and if you decide later you really don't need it,you can always sell it on. :)

N.B. Had no coffee before I posted,my special fridge will only fit 2 and not 4 corneys. :-X

This is the same process in the pic below with sanke kegs instead of cornies right?

When transferring under pressure from sanke fermentor to the corny you are going into the out post on the corny yeah?
So the beer flows down the corny dip tube & to the bottom of the corny?
On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

Dr Jacoby

Yep. You only ever use the liquid posts for transfers
Every little helps
