The best homebrew you've ever tasted

Would it be in your top ten favourite beers (including commercial beers obviously)?

I had a pint of purgatory in the Well a few months back and nearly blew a great hoppy load. Fantastic.

There may or may not be a bottle of that stout in exchange for the mash tun  ;)

I kind of agree. My stout in my opinion is one of the best lower alcohol stouts I've had (massive head on me!) including commercial stouts (I've not tried Ruebens....would love to though after all I've heard about it). I've yet to taste an good full bodied hoppy IPA homebrew that matches some of the better commercial ones (although some have come close). The good thing is that generally I think that the quality of homebrew across the board is improving. I remember first going to tastings about 4/5 years ago and maybe 10-30% of beers were really top drawer, now its much higher than that along with almost every other beer at a tasting being at least very good

With homebrew you might taste a good one, but will the brewer be able to replicate it faithfully? That's the question, it's all about the consistency.

Bubbles

Rossa's American Stout.

As good, if not better than any commercial stout I've tasted.

DEMPSEY

A good beer that I tasted before was from partridge9,it was a Belgium. What I was further impressed about is that I am not a fan of Belgian beers and did not expect to like it,but it was really tasty.
