Those spikes have been there for nearly 4 years and no cats managed to scale them.
upto, 2 weeks ago the front wall had nothing! that was, untill we had a day time smash and grab.

The alarm rings my no when it goes off.  It rang me at 11.36am, I was working locally and was home by 11.45.
No sign of anyone, just a broken window and muddy footprints goin upstairs

The funny thing is that nothing was taken!
My Laptop on kitchen table, DH mountain bike worth 2k sittin in hall, other bits and pieces lying around. ipad, cameras and such.

The brewhouse has no windows for a good reason

That's pure class,I am cracking up laughing here, wife thinks I am going to try it out on our cat. ;D ;D

Hey spud

Im not as active as i should be!

I do ride cloone wood (not sure on spelling) regularly enough along with 3 rock  for short spins.
I suppose im more of a fair weather dh'er, Was over in Morzine in august (go every year) and im off down to fairymount farm at the w'end for a blast, uplifts all day for 25euro! cant go wrong

Spud395

Talking to a few lads who had been to Fairymount, they had a ball and got in a huge amount of riding.
Sold the DH'er myself last year and ride a 6" all mountain rig now in an attempt to keep the belly in check ::)

I just tuned into this post to see how it was going and I thought it best to start at the end and work backwards.  I got quite a shock when I read this.  For a moment, I wondered what kind of brew house/shed was being built out in Fairymount.

Happens sometimes,a thread wanders off topic, bit like how a chat in the pub tends to meander through different subjects. :)

Hmmm.    Does sound a bit dodge!

Lads goin to fairymount, gettin hugh amount of ridin in

Nevermind, back on track.

After a pi55 poor attempt over the w'end on the roof, I left work early on monday and got the roof sheeted out.

It looks like a proper shed now

Now I have a roof I've been out all evening cutting and fitting collar ties to the rafters.

Its comming together nicely now

QuoteLooking good. Still reckon you should have put in an en-suite bedroom.

What about a "JakUzi"?? As you mentioned "ner' do wells":

This a small compact space with a toilet and at least one famous Israeli 9mm SMG plus loads of ammo!!

(Ok: Wills been watching too may gun programs on Discovery channel)

Hi All

And were back!

OK, so its been slow over the last two weeks.

I was able to get the roofing felt on last week, and on friday i got stuck into the fascia and soffit.

Yesterday was spent cutting and fitting the cladding

and finally today! didn't get a lot done.

I still have a lot to do....

Make door?  not a clue just yet
Fit cladding to back and other side
Build low splinter walls.

And thats just the outside!!!

Ciderhead

Wow thats starting to look really smart are you sure you are not a chipie?

Thanks John

Defo sure!

Tho Ive been known to put up a few fences and Ive built a number of decks over the years.

Hi Again

So I'm moving on as fast as I can....

My Sparks called over tonight to first fix.  This is where I might need some advice.

As you can see from the photo, I've allowed for 3 seperate 20amp spurred connections for each element of the HLT and Boiler. Ive also allowed for one 2 gang socket below for pumps and stuff. I also have two 2 gang sockets above my work bench and another two setts on the gable end for fermentation fridges etc.

Im fitting insulation into the top half or wire free section of the stud as I go.

I'm goin to dig the trench for power supply on sat and hopefully my sparks will fit the fuse board and make final connections on sunday.

Is there anything I've missed at this stage or can anyone suggest any improvments?

Shanna

Hi Damo

I dont know if u have any windows in the shed or not. I would imagine some natural light would be nice. Also what kind of ventilation if any do you have? I would imagine that once you start heating water and boiling wort your going to have lots of humid air. Depending on how well tbe shed is insulated this could cause problems with condensation and longer term mold.

Have you also considered some source of heat for the shed?
