Found this on my phone. Have to admit that the cider was my favourite, but that the GFE was a serious contender for best stout I've had.

Yes indeed, a flashback from  an epic journey which i recall began with a barrell-filling bbq in leixlip and culminated in me waking my missus up for taxi fare in the weee hours.... said that journey included lift from a strange dude posing as a taxi driver abanding me at a northern porterhouse , offlicense, an injured party,s backyard (where only the full bottles were photo'd) a ramble thru drumcondra to a train station, a balladeer public house, another taxi trip, and aforementioned wakey wifey episode....
I'm probably omitting one or two other details, but that,s deliberate, I think ::)
Ah the memories .... glad she doesn't check in here  ;D

DEMPSEY

As with all photo's taken the background gets seen after you examine the main content, who did not finish the plastering on the block work :o

It's a fantastic drop alright. Certainly as good as an craft stout I've tasted. Pity we can't say that same about the regular draught Guinness.

I'm surprised Diageo don't advertise the FES more..?? Most people are probably unaware of it?

Guinness Special Export is even better.

As is the Nigerian Guinness (available in Decency African restaurant on Mountjoy St. but its €€€€€)

CARA

If you're a fan of export style stouts I would highly recommend the Jamaican origin "Dragon Stout"
