I'll see how I feel after tomorrow. I'm going through my usual pre-season depression. Over 30 years as a Liverpool fan does that to you.   

Our league challenge is usually over by 5pm on day 1. But it'll be different this year; we're 12:45 kick-off tomorrow.

JimmyM was talking about something along these lines before.

As I only (barely) follow GAA (hurling), it was all Chinese to me.

What i was talking about before was a last man standing competition where we could raise money for the club...
Didn't get the numbers back then - can resurrect if anyone wants - would need about 10 people to make it worth while.
We take say a fiver off each person last man takes the pot minus say 10 or 20 percent for the club.
I've written web software to track it. I used to run same for a club i used to play for.

For those unfamiliar the rules are....

prem league is divided into gameweeks - so usually 10 games per game week.
Each gameweek you pick a team. If your team doesn't win you're out. Cant pick same team again. Last man standing takes the prize.
