What type of flow metres do you have? Still trying to decide between flow metres and scales for my kegbot.   8)
In primary:
In secondary: Wine, Melomel
In keg: Teddy Hopper, Coconut stout, 4 Cs, Buzz bomb, Never Sierra, Bock, OD
In the fridge: Helles Lager, Hob Gob

Nice job. My programmer friend was telling me I should be running everything off an arduino instead of building a pid system like electric brewery. What do ye reckon?
On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

Hop Bomb

St.Fursey has already ordered all the parts for our electric brewery style build afaik. Il let my mate build his arduino brewery first  8)

Ebay jobbies, and there's not 100% satisfactory. If you want less pain and mo money, go for scales.

What are the issues with the flow meters? Any links to the ones you got? Looking forward to seeing pics of it up & running.

did he have drink taken when he made the offer/suggestion. Last time I fell for "I can do that no problem" was a few years ago and I am still waiting ::)

The order hasn't gone in yet! If someone I  offering  to develop an arduino system I'm all ears

It's a replacement for the WillHi 7016 in my kegerator, and then some!

Arduino Mega 1280
5V 2A PSU
3 buttons
20 x 4 display
Dallas battery backed clock
3 flow meters
DS18B20 temperature sensor

It will display something like this, to show me what's on tap, how much has passed through the flow meters, the current kegerator temp, the desired temp, and the time and power mode*

1 BX Ale 7%    16.7L
2 Kolsch 4.3%   8.1L
3 Cider 6%      0.0L
6.1°C 4.0°C 21:00 A

* Two power modes: A = alcholic = chilled beer 24/7 and M = miser = fridge only comes on at set times, like 6pm to midnight, to save electricity.
This sounds the Buisness all right.

I need to get on with  my pasturising controller and then the lager fridge time/temp profiler!

No drink taken. He brews also (did his first AG last weekend) & is very into the tech side of it. Il ask him after work if he's serious about it. Hold off on the order so St.Fursey.

I had a look around for sensors for the scales and they are more expensive, but then I saw this:

going to pick one up this afternoon and dismantle it to see what can be done with it.  Plenty of stuff online about hacking scales with arduino so it will hopefully be a runner.

with these flow meters I presume you know what amount of beer you start with  :-\

Probably going to jinx this project but since it was already FUBAR here is some photo's of it with me modelling another under counter fridge into it
