Nice ... looks like I'll be gettin some fresh hops soon :)

Give me a shout if your putting in an order and ill jump in with you if its ok.

Ciderhead

Big volumes/values  attract attention I wouldn't risk more that the 3lbs at a time
Freight gets silly as well

If anybody else orders please share your experiences.

Mine was delivered through USPS, and delivered by postman Pat which is the actual name of my postman;)

So below 22 you pay nothing

Between 22 and 105 you are only charged the vat plus the AnPost charge.

Over 105 its the works!
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Duty on hops is just over 3% from US, I exact number in a another thread.
Picture yourself in An Post bod processing parcels at the moment, this time of year, how many parcels are they going to want to process that are 20-30 euro above the threshold, jan when things are quieter may be a different story.

Placed an order today for some nice hipster hops. Great value. Got 4.5 lb (2 kg) for about € 100 delivered.
Apollo 1lb
Centennial 1lbl
Nelson Sauvin 1lb
Mosaic 1lb
Buzz Bullets 1/2lb (couldn't pass them up with name like that)

Can see some nice beers coming on tap in the next few months.

Nigel do you mind updating us if it arrives without duty?

nigel_c

Not a bother. I placed my order at 2pm today and I get an email at 7 saying my order had been shipped.  :)

beerfly

thinking about grabing some myself.  would be fun to play with some of those experimental ones and who does not want buzz bullets

Hop Bomb

I've mailed them asking if they'll mark down the value on the box. If they will does anyone fancy splitting shipping on a large box? Simcoe is back in two weeks also.
On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

St. Fursey

Count me in

What really annoys me is why pay duty and the vat on the postage? >:(

If asking for a write down I would suggest "Post Free" would be an moral option

Hops arrived. All good. No extra charges. I can see some nice beer betting brewed in the new year :)
