Hi, I have a 20lb mixed gas (nitrogen and CO2) tank. Its full at the moment. I'm looking to swap it for a straight up CO2 tank. Not too worried about the size. Anyone interested?

Cahalbrua

If Shane doesn't want it I might take it.have a full 5kg bottle of co2 to swap.

Why did you post this in 2 separate threads :(
mods please merge

Mossy

Sorry for posting in two separate threads, I just wasn't sure which one it belonged in. I only have the one tank.
Shane, its filled 50/50 at the mo. Physical size is approximately 30' high by 6' across the bottom. What kind of co2 tank have you got?

Ciderhead

Thanks for the fuller description
I'm out.

I was looking for the 75/25 mix myself, but wonder how the 50/50 would work on stout with stout tap.
Anyone got any thoughts on this their's only 25% in the difference.
Think demsey said to me before that he wanted to serve his beer on the 50/50 mix. he may also be interested.

Can you post a pic of a tank if it's still there for swap.
Bad day brewing is better than good day working.

Here's a pic. Cathal has first dibs but I haven't heard anything from him, I'm not sure what the protocol here.

Cahalbrua

Haven't really decided cos was looking for the 75/25 mix. So if anyone else wants it in the mean time no problem.

Hi cahalbrua, I think I'm in the same boat as yourself,  I'm also looking for a 75/25% mixed tank. I talked to a guy called barry from the barcompany.ie and he said you can pour ales and stout from a 75/25 mixed tank but you can only pour ale/larger from a 50/50.

So I'm now looking for a 75/25 tank,  He sells them on his site for 95 euro filled and a regulator for 150 euro. Bit pricey but if I can't find a cheaper alternative I'll probably buy from him by the end of the week. anyone any thoughts on this please let me know, I've always bottled my brews up till now and I'm still figuring this out
soft fire, sweet malt

try Ebay for the regulator, I bought one last week for £40 stg, it was brand new too. There were a few reconditioned ones on there last week as well for around the same price.
