As thesumofallbeers has said different yeast have different effects of the hop profile. As he has said S 04 as it drops out and makes the beer clear it is also dropping out hop flavour as well.

For stouts a and porters you are only really interested in bittering additions so hop flavour is not an issue. I've used both strains and I have to say I prefer US04, hands down. A lot of it will, like most things in home brewing, come down to personal preference. And isn't that why we do it anyway
