Does your cider juice stink? If so what yeast, and did you use nutrient?

i.e. the H2S, rotten eggs/farty smell.

Nutrient : 1tsp per gallon. Youngs.

15 campden tabs per vessel.
1 with pectolase, 1 without.

MINE IS FERMENTING AWAY COLD (12C) Lovely fresh sweet apple aroma, fermenting on natures yeast in a cool dark shed now. Couple tspoons standard ( brupacks I think) yeast nutrient and a b complex tablet crushed

Anybody using Beer yeast has to use a nutrient our resident Chemist will elaborate, I think it's to do with complex sugars.
Fart smells from H2s are enhanced by poor yeast nutrition and lower temps
Feed it and make it cosy!

So
Taking my brewing to a new level now and on all fours sniffing bubblers
Liquid beer yeasts which were from 2l starters 50%dme and 50% apple juice smells a bit
Cider and Pure Champagne just smell of apples
Nutrient yes in all as per directions
All force oxygenated
10 campden
Temp 19

As an aside my pilsners can also whiff a little from time to time

The smell profile of this is changing, getting closer to farts now.
