Folks, for administrative purposes, I'm going to have to have a final date of entries to be Friday 31st of January at 12 noon. Beers don't need to be dropped off by that date (they can be brought on the day), but email entries must be received by this date

Thank you

barkar

Any chance of some drop points / person for the whest , dunno know if any of ye dublin folk are down this way the weekend or next week

delzep

In case there is any confusion, please place a small label on each entry with your name and the name of the beer so they can be easily identified

Thanks

johnrm

Oops, Cork entries are in Dubland with Tuberifico already, please let me know if you need any more detail for them Delzep. Thanks

imark

Name of the beer? American Pale Ale etc? Or "imarks show stopper"?

"imarks show stopper"?

:o

your name and style will do (unless you have two beers of the same style of course)

imark

Thought I was going to have to get creative and come up with cool names for my beer then.  :P

beerfly

Damn forgot to write winning beer on my bottle.

Have to remember to get a bottle or two of the Jaipur early this time :p

delzep

We're busting at the seams a wee bit here so I'm going to have to close it now so no more entries will be accepted for the competition as of now

Thanks to everyone for their interest and help organising the event and good luck to all entrants  ;D

Ciderhead

How many did you get in the end Delzep it would be interesting to know for other clubs that want to hold similar events in the rest of 2014?

Ciderhead

Most of us in Wicklow have bottles in the cooker trying to get them to carb for the nationals, and to be honest I didn't realise it was a GDA comp? that might have been a bit of fun on inter club rivalry, do you know the final numbers?

Ciderhead

Cork were talking about running their own?
Galway did something last year but under Oslos wing if memory serves?
I think Wicklow should do something as well, just not sure how who what when, hence questions on no of entries, I'll speak to senior management.
Also interested in Toms comments today about matching to a, rather than brewing to a, style.
I must have a chat with Competitions Bossman and see what he thinks we should be doing in terms of style.
