Nintendo 2ds - busted

Santa came to my young lady with one of these.
Less than 1 month old it bounces off the floor and both displays are now cracked.
As it turns out, there is a single large LCD in these, so technically it is not a 'ds'.
No replacement screens to be found that I can see so a new 2DS has just been ordered from Amazon.

I had a look and just sent them a message to see but I think these things are too new.
They are supposed to be 'rugged'. Bollocks. My 7 yr old has dispelled that myth.

2 iPhones 2 ds's a couple of laptops have all passed through their doors.
If they can't fix it they will tell you straight, I needed a new screen on an iPad and they told me 3rd party ones were shite and get apple to sort it.

Just on to Console repairs.
No can do, the parts are not available.
They are a flawed design and do not stand up to abuse.

No wonder Nintendo issued a profit warning...

One would have expected that when they went to the bother of removing the hinge that one of the things they had in mind was to make it more robust.....it would appear that's not the case.

What's the battery life like?

About 5 hours so far. Its brill for what it does.
