stewards 0.5 points per day max 1 per comp
judges 0.5 per session: min 1 per comp, max 1.5 per day
BOS 0.5 point (1 if you have not judged anything else)

so 2 for the 2014 comp seems right. I got the same

i have 6 points over 4 comps (7 if you include the missing 2013 nationals) kicking myself i did not get a higher score

So you have all managed to login with the supplied Id and pwd?

I tried and it said "Fail wrong user/pwd" ?

[Edit] Tried again and all OK

Have 3 judging points so far! ( 2 Nats + Liffey V)

I will certainly be up to retaking the exam!
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Saruman (Reuben Gray)

Ah Will, the abacus doesn't know how to connect to the internet. You need to upgrade!

Ali just clarified for us.

if u judged in round one of the nationals and stewarded in round 2 you get points in both....even though its the same competition...

"A mix of points is allowed - you should get .5 stewarding points and 1 judging point for the two days in Dublin and Cork. Whoever was the organiser (Shane? Rossa?) needs to have inputted this into the reporting when they did it, or will need to correct it with the BJCP
In bristol the two centres are less than 5 minute walk so he said its is deemed the same venue.."

Rossa

are you owed points? We only have one round.

brenmurph

There seems a grey area re points for split comps, but if we take Mr BJCP Ali quote above he confirms that steward and judge points can be allocated for a split comp in some cases and has confirmed our 2014 nationals, so I prob should have 1.5 for Irish nationals not 1 as is on my record. Some people got 2 points because you can get BOS bonus as well.
Anyways wont be long getting to 10 points and head for the next exam :)

Just checked my mails. Recognized  :)  Only comp Ive judged is the monochrome one so I guess Il get some points for that eventually?  Delighted to have passed. Thanks Padraig & Tube for making it possible & for letting me in on the siebel taster day.
On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

Saruman (Reuben Gray)

The Monochrome one is a delinquent. Get John to sort that out.

Just working it out, I think I should have 2.5 points for the nationals.
.5 points per session of which I did more than one each day. 1.5 max per day.
.5 for BOS

I would think that would equate to 2.5 points for the two days no? Are we doing the session reporting right? Or am I reading it wrong?

SESSION
An uninterrupted time period when at least one panel of judges sits to judge one or more flights of entries. Typically, "morning", "afternoon" and "evening" are considered sessions at most competitions.

Seeing as ye all have your rankings now are any of ye interested in judging at the IPA fest in Galway in Oct? Cant offer ye anything in the way of compensation for travel but ye'll be fed & it promises to be a great day/night out.

I might, what's the date? I think I'm currently free the whole month, although I probably can't make the bank holiday weekend.

Padraic

Congrats all!

It took those results an age to come out!

I hope a few of ye got 80%+ and will try to get up to National level... It would be great to have our own pool of proctors!

Very happy that we have so many qualified judges on the books now!
