Probe for pH meter

I have a tecpel ph703 and I think the probe is knackered. It dried out and I can't calibrate it. Anyone know where I'd get a replacement probe? Can't find one on the web

See if there are resellers.

How much was this day 1? You might be better if getting a new one that states it has a replaceable probe.
As I understand the probes are a consumable in pH meters.

Its was over 40 quid I think. Yes the probes are consumable, the lads on jbk say to change them annually. For that reason I assumed all meters would have easily replaced probes. Mine probably would have lasted much longer if I hadn't abused it by letting it dry out.

are you sure the probe is consumable I think thats a fixed unit that you calibrate with

I test regularly with buffer but have only needed to calibrate once in 5 years, never measured my mash ph, its a dangerous path and I would probably end out like the guy who tried to balance his table by starting to saw legs.

Jesus Christ!!! It was the battery:) I was reluctant to blame the battery because I've only used it a few times but I'm thinking now it might have arrived with that battery.

yep should have said i store the battery separately as it eats them.
Love murder mysteries, consider the buffer solution if you don't have them just to check you are still accurate.

I have the buffer and storage solutions. Gutted, i think my Friday night mash was probably the first one that ended up bang on target pH but now I'll never know!
