Been wondering for a long time how to get around the corny bespoke fittings, unusual threads that cant be got in plumbing shop. Im going to keep one of these on standby in case I get a leak again. Bought a new poppit some time back but it was still an unreliable seal. the post and poppit replacement is an idea but nearly the price of a corny keg... >:(
Also I find with our high usage we have cracked / damaged / worn out a good few beer out connectors that then dont seal well sometimes.

heres a pic of the very simple modification

parts piece of silicone hose
2 x jubilee clips

remove poppit

works a treat, quick and simple to remove and no need for a quick connector.

Will have a look I have plenty of taps and dies to make threads.
Can possibly tig weld 3/8th stainless pipe onto quick disconnect part and add valve or some other quick release connections that your tap connects too.

lots of different poppet designs and the rubbers perish, i would be using keg lube and the universal poppets with new rings before I would go that far.
I replaced a load on old kegs and they are as good as new.

is tere no poppets with replaceable seals? the poppits last forever but with them embedded seals its a rip off  5 quid sterling + shipping for a feckin rubber seal... anyone know where in china they are made...we can buy a bag of 1000 for about 10 dollars ::)?

That looks like the one we need. Also seems to have a replaceable seal.

Hows I never heard of that shop? Is it briks and morter or online?  A lot of stuff out of stock tho
