Got my bottles this evening, thanks Cara and thanks CH for getting them.

Lovely bottles but was a little disappointed when they didn't have any swing tops on them?
I'm delighted with them nonetheless but maybe the title was a little misleading or I didn't fully understand it, considering the one photo shown of them has a swing top attached.

Anyway thanks again, I'm sure the bottles will be filled pretty soon 😃

Do we have to call the advertising standards authority?

Do the bottles have the little holes in the neck to take the fliptop caps from the home brew shop: http://www.homebrewwest.ie/flip-top-closure-white--rubber-black-10-pcs-1801-p.asp ?

Or have I just made some rookie mistake. and swingtop means something completely different?

Sorry Eoghan, I was merely giving my thoughts and thanks to Cara and Ciderhead.
Maybe I should have known there was no swing tops on them, maybe the post should have been clearer - Either way I'm happy with my purchase and I was thanking the lads and purely saying what I thought.

As this is a forum including experts and beginners i thought any thoughts or opinions are appreciated regardless of ones experience.  I do apologise for "some rookie mistake" and causing your overload of sarcasm, I'm sure it's a hard trait to deal with.

I expected swing tops on the bottles exactly as you did. I was very grateful for your post letting me know that I was wrong. I am not sure that I want the bottles if they are not what I thought they were.

I hope that the forum does accept all levels of experience because I am a novice, and I was refering to myself when talked about the rookie mistake.

I am very sorry for any offence I caused.

The questions I asked were honest questions, and not supposed to be sarcastic.
Are any holes for attaching the tops?
Will the tops I linked work with the bottles?

Sorry Eoghan, I really did think you were being sarcastic.  No offence taken so, especially as you are in the same boat as me.
Yep, there are holes for attaching the tops and I'm pretty sure the link you posted contains suitable tops - maybe somebody else could clarify this?

They are sweet bottles and they can take a crown cap too if you don't have any swing tops.

I got swing tops from the NHC that fit the 750s perfect. Fairly sure swing tops are a standard fit

And by the by I didn't expect to get swing tops with Caras bottles.

Ok, I was expecting to get swings with the bottles myself, but they came without them, life goes on.
Not all swing tops are the same btw.
I've checked the grolsch and most german swings are fitting perfectly those 750ml bottles

hopefully we can do better than 45 cents each for tops. Does allpack sell them  maybe a buy of 500 would bring them down to 10 cent

Hi guys, been away for a while so excuse my lack of attention to the thread. It is sort of misleading granted and apologies but the top row of the pallet had SWINGS and i assumed the rest did. When myself and a friend went to transfer the pallet at 10pm after a nice long day at work to my house for ease of distribution to the beautiful interested peoples of our NHC membership we saw that most did not have swings. I should have edited the post but thought crappity smack it, they're getting these for 75c when they are 2.50 elsewhere-it'll be grand, and swings are a piece of piss to come by. Clearly not. Those who have bought bottles already, I'll sort you out with swings.
