Well done all those involved.

Going on the number of entries in previous post here's the beer style trend for a bit of fun. Enjoy!  8)
What's Hot:
Altbier and California Common
English Brown / Milds
Old Ales
Fruit Beers
Speciality Beer

What's Not:

German Pils and Pilsner
Vienna Lager / Oktoberfest
Smoked / Wood Aged Beer

That's half the NHC spring/summer 15 collection  ;)

Garry

Well done to all the winners.

A big thanks to the Galway lads and the Oslo. It was an great venue for the competition and they looked after us well.

Its difficult to tell really as the total number of entries increased each year. Would be more accurate to see the percentage of the total entries

Don't understand the unpopularity of pilsener.

Unless it's that it disappears straight away if it's even passable :-[

Lack of temperature control probably

mr hoppy

Was thinking that but shurely there's more than 4 brewers out there with temp control?

I judged the boh pils yesterday. It's a tough one to hide behind. Any flaws seem magnified by the simplicity of the beer. Tough to get right.

mr hoppy

Sorry if this is way off topic but what kind of flaws were you seeing - butterscotch, green apples, esters, poor clarity?

Pretty much the whole shooting gallery.  Phenols to baby poo.

mr hoppy

Crikey, those are a bit more serious than just temp control / starter size issues.

I was just wondering if I'd be able to pick up my medal at the Dublin leg?
