We should start a new myth:

After arriving in Ireland on St David's day (March 1, he had come over from Wales)and finding it full of snakes (which like India Jones he HATES) he chased them all out of Ireland.

Not a mean feat - took a couple of weeks.

He was now knackered and in need of a drink.

"What no craft beer here?" he was heard to ask! The silence was deafening!

So on that magical day he started to brew Ireland's first ever craft beer.

That day was March 17th and since then we have celbrated St Patrick with Craft Beer.

Of course what really happened was David came over to Ireland looking for a good time and having the craic and so lit a bonfire to let all around know that he was having a party that night. The local King was annoyed because he was going to have one a few days later and so gathered his men and marched up to David and demanded to know who he was. "David" he says, with that the King drew his sword and said "no foreigner is going to upstage my party plans" but quick as a flash David said "did I say say David sorry that's my cousin from Wales no I am Patrick". With that the King put his sword away and said "aah grand so I'll have a pint and  lads what does yis want to drink,Paddy's buying".
