Question for the techie geeks. Why is there a link from the wordpress page to the forum but no link from the forum to the wordpress page .

I've noticed this too. The link at the top of the forum directs to the forum home page. It would be better if it went to the wordpress site like the old days. Everything was better in the old days 

Another minor issue; The favicon is gone and my bookmarks to the forum just don't look right  Pedantic? I know!.

I did prefer the old look as this one is a bit plain with the simple machine logo on the top right .

I think your right - it would be nice to link from the homepage to the facebook and twitter.

I dont tihnk thats a biggy.

The forum is on a 'stock' theme which is easiest when it comes to maintenance / security patching etc.

There is a Twitter feed at the bottom, but I'll try & get the direct links added later.

I'm sure we can add same to forum (don't have access myself), to allow a common-ish theme & message.

The logos point to the 'follow' pages, so the facebook and twitter landing pages aren't visible to those without Facebook/Twitter accounts. Just an idea, but would it be possible to link directly to the landing pages - https://twitter.com/HomebrewClubIrl and https://www.facebook.com/NationalHomebrewClub

Works fine for me in Chrome. I think the issue I was having on FF is my own problem with twt images.
