Triple heated stir plate for 1/10th its cost price. Its a bit OTT, but stir plates are expensive and don't come up too often second hand:

Wu hoo :) Just bought that hotplate. checked it out and it was cheap as chips for the price. :)

Well done, you can grow enough yeast to supply the whole club with that thing.. actually you could take out the heating elements and stick them to the bottom of your boiler..haha!

Just be careful about using the "heat" function! These lab stirrers can often get up to 350C or more and the regulation is not great!

So don't try to set 22C for a yeast starter - you may well cook it!

You're welcome. Are they running OK? The freezer looked pretty grotty. You'll have to get the rubber gloves on to tackle that one.
