I stopped believing in the Corny Fairy a long time ago...
We need about 10 cornies.
I have some surplus, and will sanitize and so on.
The deal is to brew 200I, drop it into 10 cornies, fermented potentially 10 different ways.
Have we a recipe? Need to make sure we have a recipe.
A Palm clone would be nice...
I still think Amber is a solid middle of road beer.

johnrm

As for bus, seeing as we're so scattered, cars are the only good option. Feck it.

johnrm

Make sure cornies are cleaned sanitised!

johnrm

We need to get the food started.
1. Johnrm - Burgers.

Need more mains, sides, salads, desserts.

You cannot turn up empty handed!

Garry

I'm sure we have a rake of spiderman plates, plastic knives & forks etc left over from a recent birthday bash. I'll bring those along. I'll bring the carbs (bread, buns, crackers..) and condiments (ketchup, mustard, hummus..).

1. Johnrm - Burgers.
2. Garry - Carbs, condiments & crockery!

Cambrinus

I have to pullout. Herself is working that weekend.... :'(

Couple of questions about recipe:
Is this the recipe you were thinking of?
I'd sort of assumed you were doing a regular size batch based on this recipe. What does it look like scaled up to 200 litres - particularly the hops?
Have you brewed this recipe (just to be 100% clear) / where did you source it from? If not, what about your Proper Job clone?
What system are we using?
What's the efficiency?
Where are the ingredients coming from?
Does the recipe need to be rejigged to reflect the available ingredients?
Is everyone ok with Willamette and Fuggles?
Also, if we are taking this away to ferment presumably a better bottle would be as good as / better than a corny?

mr hoppy

1. Johnrm - Burgers.
2. Garry - Carbs, condiments & crockery!
3. Mac780 - sausages
4. mr hoppy - chickens, bbq sauce, coleslaw (maybe), corn muffins (maybe)

johnrm

Well, I did say to pick holes...

Is this the recipe you were thinking of? Thinking of, yes.
I'd sort of assumed you were doing a regular size batch based on this recipe. What does it look like scaled up to 200 litres - particularly the hops? Bigger, much bigger.
Have you brewed this recipe (just to be 100% clear) / where did you source it from? If not, what about your Proper Job clone? Yes, made it up. PJ would be fine too, in fact I quite like PJ, Feck it lets do PJ!
What system are we using? Sams 200l pilot Home Brew Builder system.
What's the efficiency? I'll ask Sam
Where are the ingredients coming from? Let me check recipe first. I will come back
Does the recipe need to be rejigged to reflect the available ingredients? Probably.
Is everyone ok with Willamette and Fuggles? I am although Fuggles is struggling in the UK.
Also, if we are taking this away to ferment presumably a better bottle would be as good as / better than a corny? Should be fine, anything vessel that will seal.

I will dig out my recipe for 'The Right Job'

Would fermentation buckets not be better?

I still have flashbacks of heading to Garrys and back with fermenters full of beer in the boot.
See this happy lady I once met enroute. 'No Speak Ingles' is all she said...

That right job was just short of winning a medal so I'd say it would be a great option.

If we are using Sam's system (sounds pretty cool) should definitely get his input on hop utilisation.

What kind of bbq is it do we know?
