My induction hob has no bother boiling the spuds dry! It's the same as using an adapter plate.

Anyway, there's nothing stopping you putting a cup of water into the pot if the hob is that finicky?

I don't think induction jobs can detect liquid inside pots? They work magnetically I believe.

So put some water* in it!!

*Water: Universal Heat Transfer Medium to conduct heat from an induction hob via Cooking pot into a flask of wort!

OR why noy just use an induction cooking pot to boil the wort then pour the wort into a conical!
