Expanded Judging Panel Announced!

Due to the overwhelming response from brewers to the 2013 NHC’s National Homebrew Competition, the organisers are delighted to announce an expanded judging panel. The number of judges has increased from 16 to 30 and the new panel will ensure that the day runs on schedule and that no judges are over-burdened.

Ali Kocho-Williams (Head Judge). BJCP certified judge, Microbrewer, and organsier of the UK’s National Competition.
Anil Godinho. Professional beer taster, currently working with Diageo.
Bernard Sloan. Co-owner and brewer at Whitewater Brewery.
Ciaran Kelly. Qualified professional brewer with Carlow Brewing Company.
Cameron Wallace. Co-owner and brewer at 8 Degrees Brewing.
Davy Uprichard. Professional cider maker and owner of Tempted?
David Llewellyn: Owner of Llewellyns Orchard, cider maker, instructor.
Dean McGuinness: Professional brewer, owner of importer and distributor Premier International. Part-time beer journalist, currently and long time co-host of Newstalk’s “Movies and Booze”.
Geoff Carthy. Experienced bar manager, now manager at the Bull & Castle.
Gráinne Walsh. Co-owner and brewer with Metalman Brewing Company.
Gregory Hulsman. Professional beer taster, currently working with Diageo.
