Prizes Announced!

We are delighted to announce the following prizes for the 2013 National Brewing Championships which are to be held this Saturday, March 2nd, in Bull & Castle Dublin.

Of Course all this could not happen without our main sponsor who are funding the event. SaySo have taken the brave step of sponsoring what was a small brewing competition and turned it into one to rival any competition in Europe.

Prizes are to be awarded in 8 categories and to the overall winner. Freshly minted National Homebrew Club medals will be given to the top 3 placed entries from each category and a trophy will be awarded for Best of Show entry.

Along with those prizes every category winner will receive a beer hamper courtesy of Beer Heaven, brought to you by Premier International Beers. These consist of a 24 bottles case of American Craft Brewed Beers. These cases will include beers from Widmer Bros (Portland, Oregon), Red Hook (Seattle, Washington) and Kona (Hawaii). 12 different styles of beer from across the three breweries.

The overall winner will receive a very special beer hamper again courtesy of Beer Heaven. This is a beer hamper including some of the most exclusive beers in the world. A bottle each of Deus (Bosteels), Progress (Black Sheep Brewery), Rodenbach 2010 (Palm Breweries), Chimay Speciale (Chimay) and La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged (La Trappe). In almost all cases, they are limited edition beers brewed as a once off.

As previously announced, the highest scoring beer will be brewed commercially by Trouble Brewing.
