The Team
The Belfast branch of the NHC was established in April 2013 following a tasting event at the Hudson Bar. From this first meeting the group has grown and now brewers of all experiences regularly get together to share success (and disaster) stories and to sample a variety of homebrews. If you’re willing to bring a sample, it’ll be tasted! Using kits, extract or all-grain, we brew a range of styles including Belgian ales, English bitters, American pale ales, IPAs, lagers, stouts, ciders and wines. There’s definitely something for everyone!
Barry (Bazza), Matthew (matthewdick23) and Chris (sub82) act as club representatives, however this is merely a formality and events are more of a collaborative effort. Meetings are preplanned on the forum where all ideas are welcome, one example was the first Belfast brew demo where the group collectively brewed an all-grain American pale ale, from start to finish, in the Hudson’s beer garden. The results of which were sampled at the following meet.
Get involved! We are always pleased to welcome new faces onboard, from beginners to old-hands.
