Hi there,

Here for discussion at the Boro on Tuesday is a set of guidlines for this competition:

Open to any paid up member of the NHC
2 500 ml plain bottles (crown or swing top). Only one entry allowed!
Entry Fee: €5
Prizes: TBA

The beer can be any style and may be brewed with any Malt/yeast/adjucts but must use GeBs Slovenian hops. Bittering hops like Magnum, Northern Brewer may be used but must be disclosed on the entry form

The competion will be BJCP registered and you must declare the style of beer you have made (following Bjcp 2015 style guides). Beers will be judged to style [ and also on the hop notes (not sure about this) ]

Judging flights etc will be decided when we know what categories are being entered.

You may buy more Slovenian Hops from Geb if you want to but this should also be declared on the entry.

As these hops have been provided for free then a review during and soon after brewing will be appreciated by GeB and the NHC but is not a requirement to enter the competition

Date and Location: Old Boro, Swords Saturday May 28th
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

So what else do we need to agree on and divvy up the work? I put together a rough list:

  • Announcement
  • Registration site
  • Prizes
  • Bottle sorting
  • Process for sending scoresheets
  • List of warm bodies (judges, stewards, registrar)

Issues with your membership? PM me!

Guessing we can make a simple registration site through google sheets. The lads in GCB probably have a template from the comp last year that we can use.

Also, register with BJCP so the judges get points?

Do you want me to send on the form? To who?

Yeah I'm on the registration system. Got the form from Pob, so just having a chat with him on how the mailing and labels works. Hopefully I'll get it up tomorrow.

*THIS IS NOT THE ENTRY PAGE FOR THE COMPETITION*

Just in case people pop in real entries and wonder what happened when we grease the database :)
Testing for the registration form. It's the first draft but should be feature complete. Go nuts and let me know if there are any issues: http://goo.gl/forms/a5qNHMNPf8
