I couldn't find any info on the search. Anyone know where I can get a couple of weldless spigots for a kettle conversion? I can only find one and its brass and costs a fortune fon the states.
Thanks.
Not sure what you mean by spigot - have you a pic & sizes you're looking for?
Something like this? (http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/316-stainless-steel-2-piece-ball-valve-12-p-2564.html)

Close, yeah. I'm going to drill a hole in my 30L pot and install a tap. Without having to weld anything.
Something like this but not so dear and stainless steel:

I've this (http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/stainless-steel-weldless-bulkhead12-mpt-x-12-fpt-p-2963.html) along with a ball valve and a barb connection.

That sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I just assumed it would be one set. Do you have anything attached to the inside end of that bulkhead?
I've a male camlock going into the ball valve, then a full 1/2" nipple joining the valve and bulkhead then a female 3/8" hose barb on the end. All I need is to build the rest of my kettle and I'll be sorted.

I use the 3 piece weldless tap from Angelhomebrew. Is that the sort of thing?

Check out Aliexpress. You'll be waiting a month but there's a good selection and savings to be had!
i got this from bridgewater for less than £30.
Friendly guy, part time business so not a two day service but worth the wait.
+1 on Bridgewater, got the same as Ryan and it is top quality

Also sells barb connections for a few quid.
Great stuff lads. I think I'll go with bridgewater. Their stuff seem well made and decently priced. I'm thinking of going with the camlock idea for ease of removing connections.
From an engineering perspective try opt for full bore valves and fittings, there's no point in ordering 1/2" valves and connecting it to a 3/8" hose barb, or if your valves are not full bore it will have the same impact - you've effectively converted your 1/2" fittings into a 3/8" flowrate ( you may as well buy 3/8" fittings as they will be cheaper) It probably won't matter so much for solar pumps but will make a difference if you plan on upgrading to Chuggers later, as they could cause starvation issues for the pump.

The camlock is 1/2" and I can't see myself needing any 3/8 fittings or lines.
Post no 5 shows a 3/8 fitting and Aliexpress carry a range of 1/2" valves not all being full bore
I had the 3/8 barb as I was planning on connecting it to a filter, but haven't gotten around to getting a 1/2 replacement yet.
