Just a quick one,  I am carbing a corny full of stout and noticed some small amounts of beer in the gas line.  I'm wondering if I overfilled the keg or do I have a problem with the gas side I need to take care of.  The beer is a tiny amount and gets nowhere near the reg

LordEoin

you sure you have the gas on the correct post?
the valve on your gas post should only allow movement into the keg...

auralabuse

Yeah,  the gas side is a diff disconnect,  I defo connected to the right side.  Maybe it picked up some beer from a spillage

Liquid can get in there anytime your keg goes sideways, even under pressure.

Happened to me when I filled keg too high. I forgot the gas in has a dip tube too. I filled above it..

A lot of the newer kegs have a dip tube thats about 1" long on the gas in connector. If you overfill and feck up with pressures (especially if you run two cornies off of 1 gas line (via a JG T fitting)) then you can force beer through the gas lines.
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Ahh,  I did give it a bit of a shake to speed up carbonation.  Also filled it right up.  Have pulled a few flat pints off it to lower the volume so hopefully that takes care of that

I generally fill to 10ml to an inch under gas out.
Be careful if moving kegs while connected.
