I've a CO2 canister with a female output(see attached) and a gas regulator with a female input, they look about the same size. Where would i get something to join them?

Thanks

Are you sure that is C02 ? Female adapter like that usually means it is a nitrous/C02 mix tank. For refilling purposes you would be better off to get that valve replace maybe ?  ;D

Yep,  looks like mixed alright

jawalemon

Sorry, yeah it's a mixed tank. Is there anything i can do to get it to work?

auralabuse

There is a co2 to nitro conversion Nut on eBay but I wouldn't recommend it as that tank is filled at a much higher pressure than your regulators normal operating pressure.  You would be better off getting a mixed gas regulator

jawalemon

Looks like it would be cheaper to buy a bottle of co2 than a new regulator.

Aye, plus you can probably sell the mixed gas tank to someone that wants to pour nitro stout.

I got one on eBay for 35, does the job

You just need the screw on barb for your gas line

Ended up getting a 5kg from AJ Edge. The lad i was talking to took one home and i picked it up from his gaf as they don't open on Saturday. Would totally recommend them.

I asked about opening on Saturdays but he said it would cost too much but would consider doing a one off if there was a good few people looking for refills.

They are a godsend for home brewers really
