LordEoin

it's so cold out there.
put your arm into the water butt and see how long you last.
Now take all the bottles of beer out of your fridge and put them in the water butt.
More fridge space.
Colder Beer.
WINNING!  ;D

You could use a big paint strainer bag for easy retrieval...

You'll need long arms to get to the bottom of a water butt.
How about a false bottom!

LordEoin

LOL!
it's exactly like that video, and yes john I was thinking of a false bottom alright.

One pro-tip... take one out before putting the next in. Then you get to hold the room temperature beer to warm your hand a little. - the simple pleasures.

Also, this chills a beer faster than the freezer because of water contact instead of air contact, and it avoids the risk of popped bottles if you forget about them. Just collect them the next day, cold and ready :)

is the water in a water butt not filthy

LordEoin

I suppose that depends on how dirty you let your butt get...
its not as if you'll be drinking any of it anyway

DEMPSEY

I can see this thread losing control very easy ;D I mean talking of how dirty you let your butt get ??? >:D. Its times like this we need JimmyM or Eoin to step in. :)
