Seem to be on eBay from UK seller, might be a better option if anything happens to it + if you get stung for customs from China the price would be similar

Yeah I contacted the Chinese seller and he re-directed me to their UK supplier on ebay.

Off topic but I did get offered loads of professional style equipment. Would the brewery's be buying from China?

You could use Parcel motel which is cheap enough for an oversized parcel, think its around €7 if you collect from the depot in finglas, extra if you get it sent on to your address

They won't ship to NI  ??? (I did say mainland uk)

However a PM and request for a few may get a result.

This really pees me off about online sales:

Why is that people who for some reason can send a parcel to "A" but there is no way they will send it to "B" (its a fekking Island off the coast but still flies the Onion Jack FFS - think Scotish Islands and NI) or even worse to destination "C" well off the old mainland no Onion Jack and home to Johny Fekin Foreigner.

What is it with these sellers?

A way around this is to get packed weight and dimensions from the seller and book a courier collection from their business address, using a site like parcel2go.com

Yeah, works out at a tenner sterling for delivery which is very reasonable. Somehow though I don't think you will regret your grainfather purchase

I have only done some kits sofar and starting to hacking some kits now. So bear my lack of hands on experience in mind.

But looking to the future and reading up on all grain and equipment needed. This seams like a really good deal. With a concealed element in it it should work well for BIAB?  Comparing this to the grainfather, at that price you could get a pump attatch it to the tap to recirculate to the top and even get some sort of grain bin fabricated to fit into it and come out with a good chunk of your kit for way under the grainfather price? Or am I missing somthing?

Here's the same product on eBay from a GB supplier for £85

It was posted by Greg previously in a different thread. The same restrictions on shipping to Ireland need to be negiotiated but it's £15-£25 cheaper

I was looking at this on Amazon. £84 delivered (well, to NI anyway):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Burco-Cygnet-MFCT1030-Counter-Stainless/dp/B004EAERSS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430821230&sr=8-1&keywords=mash+tun

A number of the reviews mention its suitability for homebrewing and no probs with rolling boils. Anyone any experience with this make?

Slightly biased towards this one as I've a load of Amazon vouchers to get rid of :)

Looks the business. You'd want to change out the tap for a stainless one.
