We are delighted to open the call for this year's Dublin Maker!

The dust has been blown off the Dublin Maker robots and they have already
started computing the optimal maker village layout for the 25th of
July on grounds of Trinity College, Dublin.

The Maker is Back -

This event was a hugh jackman sucess last year. I sort of took over from the baould Padriac oin orangising this one, and of all the events- its one of my favourites. Partially because (this is where I get stoned to death) there is no beer - its just brewing Gadgets ! And what an array of Gadgets we had last year, with young william in the corner with his Doc Brown goggles.

Another good point is that is outdoors and its a real family event. It a one day event so not too much hasstle from home, but it gets better - its genuinely an event that kids will love - loads to do for them from lego to lads making swords. Its one of the few events where we cross over into the real family world - even if we are the weirdos in the corner !!
Our stand usually get a lot of interest, mainly from the dads but thats understandable !

I dont mind securing our pitch, power, attending the advance meetings and sorting out the emails etc and also putting together a couple of boxes for display but this year unfortuatnely I'll be in france for the main event. Hopefully someone doesnt mind taking over on it. Its great craic - honest ..

oh - you get a free tee-shirt and a sandwidch !  ;)

Maker Update ..

Hello Makers,

It was great to meet some of last week in TOG. We can clearly see the
excitement is building up towards July. We have attached the slides
from the short talk we gave to fill you all in on the details of the
day itself. Just note If you have any special set-up requirements get
in touch eg  water ? Not going to use a full stand ? Also If you are
going to have any young makers (Under 18) on your stand you need to
fill out a consent form.  Finally, we are going to have another 'Meet
The Maker' session on the 17th of July at 18.30 in the Science
Gallery.

All the best,
Dublin Maker Team

I have started one of my projects for display at maker.  ;D

Anyone interested in showing some of theirs too like a brewpi or similar?

Just adding a few capital lads here. Its a really chilled out day and the idea is you bring one or two projects that you made for brewing and chat about them with the visitors. I usually do an A4 sheet with the name of the project and the wiring using this software.
