I'm thinking of getting the Milwaukee MW101 PH Meter along with the buffer solution and storage solution off Amazon.

Is there anywhere closer to home I can the Meter or the solution?

Is the MW102 worth the extra? Any other Meters I should consider?

You can get one from Steevenson Reeve in Scotland which comes with both buffer solutions. Cant remember the price off the top of my head but it's cheaper than what you were quoted there.

I can only find a pdf catalog but they're cheapest pH meter is not suitable and the next one up costs £90. Probably better off with the American one!

milwaukee ph600 should cost €45 , and buffer around €6.50. irish rrps

Kinda the same boat as the cheap SR pH meter. Reads in 0.1 increments and it's accuracy is +/- 0.1

So you think you've Nailed your ph of 5.4 but could be sitting at 5.5 or higher. That's a fair difference.

I've been using the €10 ones from aliexpress. They're grand while they're grand if you get my drift. I wouldn't even try to recalibrate them. Bin!
Is stevenson any good? I've a glass thermometer from them that reads a few degree's off.

armedcor

The stevenson one is again only accurate to 0.1 but it's accuracy is +/-0.2 that could have your mash way off. I feel with a pH meter you might as well invest or not really bother.

I got me one of these recently.  Spec is good and accuracy to .01. Robust, water proof yada yada!!!

With shipping and taxes the US one will probably work out at similar price.

Ive the milwaukee mw100. Got it in the grow shop in Galway. Had a few of the cheaper dx.com ones which work well too.
On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

I went with the MW101 in the end. It seems like the most reliable one for under $100 from people viewing them on HomeBrewTalk

Where did you buy it? Did you get done for duty? and is it worth the money?

Don't get the Milwaukee.  -If you're looking to get one with that kind of accuracy get the Hach Pocket Pro+ instead.

The Milwaukee is very slow to calibrate, the dual temp / ph probes are annoying (and the temp prob's metal rusts) and it requires storage solution.  The Hach Pocket Pro+ is easier to use, easier to store, can use distilled water vs storage fluid and calibrates faster.

I have the Milwaukee and I hate it.

The hach costs an absolute arm and a leg to get over here.
