Oh Crap

I pitched 2pks (rehydrated) 34/70 yeast into a black lager @12.5c on the 5th June.....
Og was 1.050...temp is constant 10c
Took reading today as I want to get ready for d-rest. Gravity was 1.038. It seems very slow or is that the norm for the yeast? I'm not worried but is it the temp too low? Should I up it to 12c? Or do what i should do and just leave it alone....

1 is good, 2 is better, 3 is enough & 4 isn't half enough

10 is at the low end, even for 2 packets of yeast. up it to around 12 and you should see more activity. You've probably set yourself back a week but there wont be any harm done.

Pitching @ 12°C didn't give yeast a kick start.
Try to pitch at room temperature next time. As you see activity in the airlock bring the temp down to 11-13°C.
Fermentetion will finish much faster.
This time as Nigel said give it time.
Bad day brewing is better than good day working.

I upped it a few minutes ago... Don't Mind the time setback as I don't need this till end of August (my birthday) so it can have all the time it needs until then. Cheers lads

Just a quick question, would you be at risk of phenols if you up it?
