If you have a choice, would you fit the gas tank in or out of a kegerator build. :-/

There is no technical reason to have the gas inside.

It is either:

A question of aesthetics: i.e. The misses just sees a nice looking fridge with a few taps and a drip tray.

Or,
A question of fitting as many cornies into the kegerator as possible. The various gas bottles ( CO2 and Mix ) and the various regs and tubes can live outside. If the wife drinks stout and lagers/ales then this is just "par for the course my dear" "No ther way to do it"

er ahem speaking in low whisper so as not to offend our resident senior brewing and chemical experts and so that they wont see this.
I read somewhere years ago, better absorbtion of the CO2 as its cold, what a load of sh.t, however
You will get a higher reading of amount of gas left from a warm than a cold tank
Issues around humidity and functioning of the regulator
Careful drilling through rear and sides of fridge to avoid refrigerant pipes, more modern fridges have them at the back

So if I build a kegerator with the gas bottle inside,(to make it preediurr to luuk at :)),then I should have no problems.

Its the temperature of the beer that is important.

Given the relative thermal mass of 22 L of beer at 2 C and a few litres of CO2 at 22 C the CO2 is cooled by the beer pretty damn quick to  about 2 C and disolves easily.

Also, according to the gas laws as soon as you release some CO2 from the tank it rapidly cools down.

Ever set off a CO2 extinguisher - makes a load of dry ice!

Like a red rag to a Bull, what I meant to say was that
"I read somewhere years ago, better absorption of the CO2 as its already cold in the fridge, what a load of sh.t"
It doesn't make a blind bit of difference if its inside or outside.

Just pouring a few half pints as I type this :) to "make sure" everything is "alright"....Yeah I wasn't too pushed about the gas been inside or out to be honest, I wouldn't get grief either way..
But I read somewhere, the quicker and longer you keep the beer refrigerated at 4c, the longer it will stay fresh....so I'm gonna use the extra space for 2 Kegs on the Floor to store the next 2 replacement KEgs that are lined up....
Shelf is going for Bottle Storage
Doing a Oatmeal Stout tomorrow and I'll get that Nitro Setup sorted as soon as it's ready...THen another youtube Video haha  ;D

Oatmeal Stout on nitro,I will be exercising my Liffey brewer membership and inviting myself along for this.
