Can't wait to go to the Bierhaus! My expectations are by now "vertiginously" high :) :)
Def stopping by in the Elbow lane as well!
And so many pizzas to be tried from all the other beer places #gonnabefatbutwillbegreat :D

Hey Everybody,

I just wanted to say thank you to all your suggestions!
We had a great weekend in Cork - the craft beer selection in pretty much all the pubs we were was great! Limerick has a far way to go to get there!
Our personal highlight was a spontaneous brewery tour incl. tasting in the Rising Sons! It was brilliant and their beers and pizzas are very tasty! They are definitely passionate about their beers - If you ever get a chance this is definitely worth a visit!

Elbowlane has a very different but delicious menue; unfortunately they had just their own stout and lager left - said they had a busy week! :D
Friary does great craft beers on tap and TAYTO sandwiches :D Amazing!
Great selection in the beerhouse  - def the biggest selection I have seen so far in a pub! The farm house ale, 15% cider and pizzas in the fran well are amazing, too!

Def considering going to Cork more often - craft beer paradise :)

Thanks again!

A few more pubs worth checking out in Cork are The Hub - great selection of bottles and generally has 8 degrees on tap as well as Franciscan Well beers. At the moment they also have some by Kinnegar and Wicklow Wolf, also has a beer garden. Its near the fire station on Anglesea Street.

Fionnbarras on Douglas Street has a beer garden, pizza can be ordered and they also do soup and other food on the menu, good for craft beers, wines & spirits

Callanans is a old style pub and probably has the most competitive prices in Cork city for craft beer, it is a small pub which packs plenty character
