My brother has been clearing out a closed restaurant in Galway and has 19 pin lock corny kegs now to sell and I offered to help him out. If anyone from Dublin buys one or some of them I can get them up to my place in Dublin too.

I don't really know how much they are worth but I guess around 45 euro. They are being sold as-is and probably with the dregs of 4 year old soft drinks in them.

Update: 35 euro is the asking price

Hey there your selling a wee bit higher than what's already available.see the link below.

If the price drops a wee bit I'd be interested in 3 or 4. (Based in Dublin 8)

Wow, didn't know hbc were selling them so cheaply, I've paid a fair bit more for ball lock kegs myself elsewhere. I'll see with my brother about dropping the price.

eanna

So my brother says the new price is 35 per keg. The price might be better if someone makes an offer for a few of them.

Hi eanna have you photos or specs for dimensions & volume capacity of the kegs? Are the kegs still in Galway? I might be interested in some of them. I am down in Co. Cork myself

eanna

I'm gonna go home this weekend and look at everything myself, trying to sort this out from so far away is difficult.

eanna

All the kegs are the same volume, 19 litres. Three of them have a blue collar, the rest are black. Seem to be all Cornelius branded. Dimensions are in the pictures.

Unopened keg of coke? Bonus for someone :P

I might get one or two, you can never have enough kegs.

Pinlocks have different connections just in case you don't have them already, there is a few on here that prefer pin over ball locks.

DoubleG

Is there much difference between the two? Is it easier or harder to get connections for one over the other?

dcalnan

Ah I didn't see that they were pin locks, I won't get these ones in that case thanks CH.

Pin locks are good and you tend to have less issues around sticky connectors, HB shops sell both types of connector you can also convert them to ball locks. The lid has a blow off but no manual release to purge tank of 02 after filling which can be done through a post or getting a new lid.
I know there are "pro" home brewers here that won't have anything else and its a very good price for those that want them but personally I just prefer the ball locks.
