Keg blocked

I secondaried (sp?) and lagered in a keg. Went to dispense at the weekend and nothing came out. The keg was one of the HBW used kegs but I thought I had cleaned it properly. Using the same gas and liquid lines my other HBW used keg dispenses fine so it's looking like something in the keg.

I'm probably looking at venting and dispensing to a different keg but any other bright ideas?

Vent, take off the liquid out post, lift the dip tube and check all is clean.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Run a shot of gas down the liquid tube and see if that clears it up.
Just swap disconnects. I've had that when a stray hop gets stuck in the poppet or tube and blocks it up.
You could also vent and remove the tube, check it and put it back. Save transferring it again.

I tried throwing gas down the out. No luck. I'll vent and remove the tube and see if that makes a difference

make sure you release the pressure in the keg set your reg to 3 bar and blow that mother dip tube

Check for kinks in the lines?

If the spear is too tight it can sometimes jam on the bottom of the keg

Pheeel

I tried again blasting it with gas at 4 bar. It unblocked. Yay!
Then it blocked again. No!

It's definately not frozen and there's no kink in the lines

I'm going to vent and take out the dip tube tomorrow

I have these, handy for siphoning out of heavily dry hopped secondary or on dip tube for  fermenting in kegs

That's amazing.  Someone should import a whole bunch of them in one go and do a mini group buy with them.  -Then you're less likely to get caught by customs and can save on shipping.

Great price and great looking option. I wonder if that would fit over my stainless siphon...

I unscrewed the post and pulled out the dip tube. Nothing obvious came out when I used my pipe brush down the tube. I tried to check the poppet but it wouldn't come out of the post. I replaced the dip tube oring as it was pretty knackered.

Well it worked. Not sure why!!
