So good news... I think the beer was just green! the flavour has all but disappeared over the last week, leaving behind some mighty fine concoctions. Hope to see you all at the next meet up, and thanks for your advice.

Not sure what real advice was given but glad it's sorted out itself. If you have a Weiss bier bring it along to our next meet where we are having a friendly (read no prizes) competition.

Awesome, will do! I'm boiling up an experimental extract weiss today (to see if it's the mash ph that causes these issues), so I'll bring some of those along as well. 

Also, only disassembled the tap on my boiler today, and found a decent amount of nasty brown goop in there... Maybe that was contributing?
