There's a good selection in McCambridges (although I think it's an awkward spot to go to pick up a beer) and the O'Briens at the Galway Shopping Centre has an ok selection too I think.

I've been through o'Briens a few times and you're right about mc'C.

Supervalue in whole of Leinster are going for broke, what are they doing in the West?

The Supervalu (formerly SuperQuinn) in Castletroy, Limerick actually has a great selection. I'm not sure if any of the Galway Supervalus are the same.

Hop Bomb

Supervalu beside GTI college have a massive selection. Well priced too.
McCambridges seem to just stock mostly irish stuff now at 4e a bottle for most beers, plus lagunitas, sierra nevada & brew dog. Selection isnt as good anymore & because of the type of shop it is (middle class fine foods) its uber pricey.
O Briens have a good selection. Super Valu & O Briens for me. I never bother with McCambridges anymore.
On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

The local Centra in Doughuisce  is suddenly aflood with craft beer all be it a bit pricey.
Most of the Irish ones are bout 3.50

From the same stable, Centra is a convenience store, generally higher than SuperValu
