Stolen Equipment

Brú Brewery have reported that they had some beer dispensing equipment, including a cooler, taps, reg and 3 full kegs of beer stolen on Sunday night after a function in Kells. They reckon the culprit wanted it for a party as they didn't even bother with the cash registers. They've put an appeal out asking for information if anyone is drinking some suspiciously delicious draught beer at a house party but there's a chance the equipment could crop up in a few weeks for sale so if anyone sees any dodgy looking ads Brú would be interested to hear.

Hope they get the stuff back anyway.

Do the taps have Bru plates on them?

I'd doubt it tbh. A few micros put labels on their taps but they're normally easily taken off. Have heard of a few having had their taps taken out by macros and not being returned.

That`s bleak enough hey .
If you dont see these pop up on guntree or something in the next month or so, it could be xmas or spring before they surface again . And if they happen to know a home brewer maybe never . not every brewer in ireland will be aware of where they came from . dont think it would be to hard to catch them out if they put it online .

Still on a lighter note at least they can say "our beer is that good, they stole the kegs & left the cash" lol

I'd imagine someone has these in a home bar and they won't resurface.

If they were a normal ODC (ordinary decent criminal) they'd have taken more than the kegs and taps, it was just an opportunist scumbag.

When in Business you have to be on constant watch as there are people out there that would take any chance they have to nick stuff from you. Over the years I had many things taken, ladders and tools and more. Had a plasterer small tool that was very handy for getting into places like under window boards at radiators and a customer liked it so much he bare faced nick it from my toolkit on the job. he was a thumbs type but he still stole it >:(.
