Lads,

I wasn't happy with pricing or quality/ information on 5/16 beer line so I'm ordering 100 meters from a trade supplier.

Its duo core MPDE, Nylon 11 - has layers on it which minimise taint - its the one that Diageo/ Heineken specify must be used.

I'm paying 70 cents per meter. Happy to pass it on at cost price plus delivery. I'll have 80 meters to spare.

PM me if interested.

Thanks.

Will you post or are you based in Dublin for pick-up?

krockett

Based in Cork. Will post no problem.

Was going to do a group buy here before  - we were planning posting etc and I was suggesting rolling it in padded envelope. Ended up not doing it at that stage.

I'll need some more line for my last tap as well as well, so interested in this one. Would be thinking about ~20M most likely.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

krockett

Ok no problem. Think thats the 100 meters gone so (had 3 or 4 PMs since last night).

If someone else wants to organise a buy I can give them supplier details.

Mlh charge 40-50 for 100metres depending on who you are, there will be vat on top of that

krockett

That's who I'm dealing with. I have to pay VAT and they charge 15 for shipping so the total is nearly 70.

The bar company are charging 3 euro per meter, HBC 1.60 and I was unable to get details on the materials from either.

any going spare ?????  ;)

Will_D

The label on the beer line looks like 5.4 x 8 mm

If so its not even 3/8 od ???

8mm = 0.314"
3/8 = 9.5 mm = 0.375

What does it say on the actual tubing as I can't make it out in the photo
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

krockett

Hi Will - yes you read the dimensions right.

As far as I can make out from a quick search 5/16 inches is 7.9375 mm. The line spec is 8mm and my 5/16 John Guest fits the line.

3/ 8 is 6/16 - so a 3/8 should only be 20% wider. Looks like it should be ok..
