Brown 500ml Bottles

Howdy fellow brewers,

I've brewed a few beers that I hope to serve at my impending wedding. I'm serving 120 and my own collection of bottles is only about 70 strong at the moment.

Would anybody have some brown bottles they are looking to offload? I don't mind if the labels are still attached, willing to put some elbow grease into them.

I'm based in North Dublin but can travel to you to collect.

Hopefully someone can come up trumps or else I'm going dumpster diving.

Do you guys think a stickied 'Bottle Bank' thread would be useful?
People could request bottles as needed or offer bottles that are destined for the recycling.
Bottles are a resource we kinda take for granted and something we all have either too many of or not enough of.

All brown 500ml, washed and labels removed.

Wow thanks for the replies, I wasn't expecting such a positive response.

I suppose Blueshed's offer sounds the most appealing as it's close by to me and the bottles are clean.

I live in Drumcondra so I can make it out to Ballycoolin fairly handily.

How many can you give me Blueshed?

Not free but good to know, allpack do 30, 500ml swing top bottles for about 35quid. Not bad at all and the swing tops are soooooo handy

I say it all the time but craft beer pubs are always happy to give away bottles for free as it costs them to get a company to take them away. Kavanaghs down on Dorset Street would probably be closest for yourself Johnny. Nice folk in there who are friendly with the NHC.

I work with some eastern european lads and they seem to drink beers from brown 500ml btls.

I just put note up in canteen asking for btls.

Got about 200 last time including 15 1 litre swing tops.

I'd definitely take 60 if they're going Blueshed.

I've made a Vienna Lager, Pilsner Lager, SNPA clone and a Punk clone which are all in various stages of fermentation and conditioning at the moment. I'm in the middle of mashing an Irish Red as I type this and I'll also be making a Milk Stout. The plan is to serve the best four of these. I'm sure they'll all be decent enough but better to leave myself room for error.
